Ahead of tomorrow's coronation of HM King Charles III, I wanted to share photos my dad took from the reviewing stands along the Mall at the last coronation in 1953 of HLM Queen Elizabeth II. These were taken on the way to Westminster Abbey along the Mall. In addition to the Queen's golden carriage, the dark one with windows was the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret's, and the dark one without windows was Winston Churchill's. You can see on the back of his ticket where he was sitting. Dad was stationed in London with the Navy in support of VOA's broadcast of the event.
